Deploying a massive, high-hitpoint tank like a Golem, Giant, or Lava Hound is only the first step in executing a successful ‘Beatdown’ strategy.
Choosing the correct support units dictates the entire personality and effectiveness of your deck.
The Splash Damage Sweepers
You place these units a few tiles directly behind your tank; as the enemy deploys swarms to kill the tank, your splash unit instantly incinerates them.
However, splash units usually have lower single-target Damage Per Second (DPS) and are incredibly vulnerable if the tank dies.
- A single heavy spell (like Rocket) will kill the support and severely damage the tank.
- Wait to deploy your support until you see what the enemy uses to defend.
- The Baby Dragon is the most versatile splash support.
Melting the Defenders
If the current meta is dominated by heavy defensive buildings (like the Bomb Tower) or mini-tanks (like the Knight), splash damage support is insufficient.
These high-DPS units require even more careful spacing than splash units, as they are usually incredibly fragile and die to medium spells like the Fireball.
| Support Type | What it Beats | What kills it |
|---|---|---|
| Splash Damage | Skeleton Armies, Goblin Gangs, Minion Hordes | Mini P.E. If you want to read more in regards to tower rush look into our own web site. K.K.As, Knights, Heavy Spells (Fireball/Poison) |
| Assassins | Defensive Buildings (Cannons, Bomb Towers), Heavy Defenders (Valkyries) | Swarms that surround them, Lightning Spells |
Invisible Helpers
Finally, never underestimate the power of pure spells acting as your primary support for a tank.
Protect your damage dealers, let your tank absorb the pain, and watch the enemy towers fall.
