How much does Botox cost?

Hello,

I have been reading information on Botox. I am confused about the cost, some clinics mention different prices per area but I am confused about what an area is? Why do Botox prices vary and can you explain what the different areas are??

Answer: The typical areas for “botox” injections are between the eyebrows, the forehead and beside each eye.
Each of these are considered an area – to have combinations of these locations injected would be charged as an “area”.

Fees vary around the depending on what is actually used – Botox is a particular product name for a prescription-only botulinum toxin.
There are other types of botulinum made by other pharmaceutical companies.
There is the cost of the product to consider and how much or how many units are needed for your individual need

The amount of product needed will vary from person to person due to muscle mass – i.e men typically need more units injecting.
Business costs and overheads will vary around the UK – this will influence charges

Finally you are paying a fee which reflects the qualifications, training and experience of the practitioner which should always be a medically trained and qualified Nurse Prescriber, Doctor or Dentist

Many clinics charge per area treated.
The usual 3 areas are frown, forehead and eyes..
Clinics set their own prices and ours a review appointment.

Thank you for your question.

Areas of treatment for anti wrinkle are divided into three areas on upper face they are:
Area1 – Frown lines or Glabellar, area between your eyebrows, which gives angry expression. Botulinum Toxin Type A (BOTOX) is injected in the muscle to soften this frown.
Area 2: The horizontal frown lines in the forehead. When we raise our eyebrows, in a surprised expression, these are the lines that can be reduced by Botox. Injections are placed in the frontalis muscle in the middle section of the forehead.
Area 3: Crows feet to the sides of your eyes. called laughter lines. Botox injected here can reduce your crows feet.

These three areas in your upper face can be injected with Botox to freshen up your look by relaxing muscles responsible for these expression lines. Botox is a trade name of Botulinum Toxin Type A, here in Hunar Clinic we use BOCOUTURE and BOTOX which is similar product but different trade names. This comes in small vial of dose of 50 units or 100 units. Mostly for 3 areas 50 unit dose is enough.

Prices are guided by no. of areas. Standard price for three areas is £300 which involves two weeks follow up and even touch up if needed.
Two areas – £260, One area £210.
These prices varies from clinic to clinic depending on the experience of injector, qualification, doctor led clinics might seem pricy but much safer. You should always do your research into clinic before you go for treatment, lot of good clinics offer free consultation, book your consultation then decide. Non medical injectors are cheaper but I would not be confident going to them.

Thank you for your enquiry. The common areas for Botox are Forehead, Eyes and Frown. It is common that the more areas you have treated, so the price per area reduces. Each Patient has to use one one vile of Product, and therefore any unused product from one area of treatment goes unused. That is why one area is more expensive proportionately than having 3 areas.

There are also different products that can be used, we only use Botox in our clinic.

Answer: Hi, different clinics have different ways to price Botulinum (Btx) treatment, some charge by the area – for example, the frown region, or forehead, or around eyes, whilst some may charge by the amount of Btx used (by the unit). Prices will vary according to the clinics pricing policy, overheads, time taken to consult and provide treatment etc (much like any business has their own pricing structure and different businesses charge different amounts). For us, we do an hours consultation looking at your treatment goals, skin issues, medical issues etc giving a full assessment before we individually for your treatment, following a treatment plan, giving you a full professional service. Answer: It’s confusing of the Law. Websites are not allowed to specifically reference Botox or Wrinkle Relaxing . So can’t really say how much it costs.

I don’t charge by the area because it’s not fair on the client and can be set up in such a way as to encourage the client to have more- which is against GMC law.

My practice: I can say how much hyperhidrosis costs to treat. Then for facial Botox my fees start at £175 and the more you want the more it costs (ever so slightly discouraging you, which is how it should be).

My average cost is £225, which includes any review appointment.

Thank you for your question.
As with all medical aesthetics products and treatments, prices vary from clinic to clinic and they depend on the practitioner’s qualifications and experience and expertise (doctor/ nurse/ unfortunately in the UK even beauticians are offering Botox)
Botox is being charged “per area”
In general the areas of Botox treatment are the forehead, the frowns and the lines on the sides of the eyes (crows feet)
Hence, one area can be the only, two areas forehead and frowns, etc….
As I have mentioned prices vary, but usually one area starts at around the £100-£150 margin and 3 areas can cost up to £350. Please note that the most thing is not to check just for cheap deals, but also to enquire on the qualifications of the person offering the procedure

Thank you Dr. I appreciate your expert botox advice and warning the cheap deal and non medical injectors. In all of my research this has been the only one to warn against this when looking for botox so it is much appreciated.

Answer: Hello Josie,

Botox treatments are normally based per area in the upper face. One are would be your frown lines, second area the lines across the forehead and the third area would be the lines at the side of the eyes (crows feet). These are typically the “Three areas” you may chose or less.

One area is £150, two areas £200 and three areas £250.

It would be best to book a consultation to in more detail.

1. Frown line or crows feet classed is 1 area
2. Frown and forehead is 2 areas
3. Frown forehead and crows is 3 areas

You can’t have forehead with our frown line as it will not work .
