Cyberpunk 2077’s Most Surprising Side Gigs (Good and Bad)

The video game industry has always had a love affair with the cyberpunk genre and its aesthetics, as illustrated by games such as System Shock, Deus Ex , Shadowrun Returns , and most recently, open-world action-RPG **Cyberpunk 2077 ** . There’s potential, however, for game developers to introduce a new genre into their repertoire: solarpunk, a literary and artistic movement that defies the dystopian leanings of cyberpunk and other “punk” settings in favor of depicting decentralized, eco-friendly, and beautiful societies of the future. Designers looking to build games around the solarpunk genre have a rich array of visuals to draw from – communities with colorful, retro architecture, advanced technology co-mingling with greenery, and plausibly utopian-leaning social syst

Upon release, Cyberpunk has been plagued by a litany of glitches and programming errors. The bugs and glitches throughout the title spread across a wide spectrum of technical flaws and issues. Problems range from minor graphical flaws to bugs that result in Cyberpunk 2077 crashing outright. One particular issue resulted in any save file growing above an arbitrary 8MB file size limit being corrupted and unusable. These bugs have given Cyberpunk a rocky reputation in the eyes of players, especially given the four year development cycle for the game its

Sneaky Approach – For those players who would much rather sneak in and out of an area without being spotted by any enemies or kill everyone around them without being caught, the Thievery and Agent Saboteur missions are perfect. These different missions will almost completely require the player to sneak around without being spotted to finish them. Louder players can still take a crack at them, but it will be much harder to pocket an item or put a tracker on something when they’ve got several angry gang members trying to murder them. There are 29 of these mission types as well, so stealthy players won’t miss out by only focusing on these. They will also be able to complete the other 11 Search and Recover and Special Delivery missi

Work Certain Regions First – As mentioned earlier, the only way to unlock new tiers of side gigs is to earn street cred. The downside though is that certain regions in the game will unlock additional tiers sooner than others, and there are some regions that won’t unlock new tiers until late in the game. The best thing for players to do is focus on both Watson and the Badlands areas first. They both unlock their second tiers at street cred levels four and five and their third tier at eight and eleven respectively. This means that their third tiers open up before most other regions even unlock their second tier. Work through these missions first to build up cred and earn cash quic

And that’s without even considering the secondary bonus that comes with this weapon mod – it also adds 100 Armor Penetration. Tech weapons are already, for the most part, able to penetrate through walls, but charging weapons can struggle in fast-paced situations. With the extra Armor Penetration on top of its increased Charge capacity, the Wallpuncher is the biggest jump in power a Technical Ability player can experie

Saul Bright is the leader of the Aldecaldos, a Nomad clan living in the Badlands . Players will meet him during a mission in the main story that involves V and Panam, and see more of him if players choose to go through Panam’s story arc. Saul may seem like a hothead at first, but he warms up to V as he continues to help Panam and the Aldecaldos. Since Panam is already a romance option for male V, Saul would’ve made a nice nomad romance option for female V. Their relationship could be built on supporting Saul over Panam in the beginning and helping the Aldecal

True solarpunk video games wouldn’t just bombard players with images of moss-covered buildings and rooftop gardens. They would also include gameplay that demonstrates the social ideas associated with solarpunk: direct democracy and consensus-building; smaller, worker-controlled businesses; restorative justice; demilitarization; DIY manufacturing; workshop-based education; the embracing of diversity; etc. Whether as civilization sims in which players try to build a sustainable utopia or as RPGs with a particular emphasis on non-violent problem solving, solarpunk video games, if done well, could give gamers and the people in their lives a reason to hope their future won’t be a carbon copy of **Cyberpunk 2077 News 2077
