While creating a sprawling adventure games updates controlled only by body movements may seem impossible, the world has been carefully sculpted around the concept. Nearly the entire game is on-rails, with player-controlled progress limited to traveling via horse and carriage. Movement of Seren is controlled by grabbing onto the reins. Once holding on, jerking both hands up in a cracking motion makes the horse go faster, while pulling your hands up towards your body stops her. To move left or right, you pull the hand of the intended direction towards you while extending the opposite arm. Intensity is based on how fast and dramatic the gestures are. Instead of simply darting to the next area, however, players must pay attention to not run into obstacles while scoping out any side-areas, where treasure chests or revealing NPCs can be found.

The game begins by taking control of either the son or daughter of the hero from Fable 2 , the prince or princess of the fantasy kingdom of Albion. The second section is arguably the best part of Fable 3 . The king has been overthrown and all those people who’ve received promises from the hero come calling. The hero can live up to their end of the bargain or choose to break the promise in order to earn more money. While it seems like a simple ‘Good v. Evil’ character decision, it’s not black and white. A large amount of money is required to defend Albion from an outside foe. These choices go beyond the standard ‘Good v. Evil’ choices found in most games like this, and it really adds to the experience of the game. Players finally will feel like every choice they make can/will affect the world in some way. In turn, the third section of the game is directly affected by choices in the second. So depending on the choices made in the first sections, the world of Albion will be quite different at the end of the game.
