Can this prequel/reboot of a film bring Star Trek back to the mainstream and make it “cool” once again? While Star Wars dwindles in the aftermath of the prequels and animated Clone Wars , Star Trek has the opportunity to nab the Sci-Fi thr
There’s been much talk about a sequel to the 2008 surprise superhero hit, Hancock , with conversation picking up particularly when it comes to the cast of Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman possibly returning to do another. Director Peter Berg said a few months ago that everyone was excited to return , but not long after that Bateman came out and said he hadn’t heard anything about him returning (we’re still not sure if that cluelessness was applicable to Smith and Theron, t
There is a moral ambiguity at the end of Watchmen , a choice one of the main characters makes to sacrifice a few million lives to save the world. I’d like to know what is Dave Gibbons’ opinion on that choice? Was that character right or wrong? Did he really want to save the world, or was he just serving his own
The interview is being done in three installments, with Dave Gibbons responding to fan-generated questions. We here at Screen Rant have shaved Part 1 of the interview down into nifty little cliff notes for your quick-reading pleas
When Kick-Ass eventually does get a release, it’ll be interesting to see how it does at the box office. Much in the same way as Watchmen , this isn’t a well known property outside the “comic book geek” world, and like Watchmen it’s very violent. By now we know how (not) great Watchmen did at the box office ; however Wanted (another little-known comic book adapted into a violent movie) was a surprise hit at the box office, so who kn
The Wolverine origins flick recently made the jump into my top three simply because of the trailer that was released two weeks ago . I’m a huge Gambit fan and seeing some amazing scenes with him made me super excited for the film. The caveat to this is that if I find out Gambit does not have his Cajun accent in the film – then this movie will no longer by featured in my l
Personally, I’d love to see a sequel to The Rundown , which I think is an under-appreciated film that features Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Sean William Scott cooking up some great comedic chemistry. I’d much rather he concentrate on doing another one of that than do Hancock 2 , because frankly, I don’t wanna’ see another Hancock . To me, the first installment was a fun-at-times film, but one that didn’t live up to its huge potential, IMHO. And the story was fine for one film, but the possible sequel storyline pitched by Berg awhile back didn’t sound that good to
“I don’t want to sound too arrogant about the thing because there’s nothing worse than someone saying, “I made the best damn movie of all time!”, then you watch it, and you go, “Yeah…” I can say this… not that it means much… but it’s definitely the best movie I’ve ever made. That doesn’t mean it’s a great film. But, for me, I think I punched above my weig
Can Michael Bay turn some of those frowns upside down with this sequel that he co-wrote? Will there be more robots, less people, better story, less corniness and better characters? We hope so and some of us are looking forward to finding out from this action-advent
You may be wondering how Conan the Barbarian made this list. Well, you’re just going to have to trust me. This is the second funniest commentary you’ll ever hear. And it’s hardly on purpose. Not only does Arnold Schwarzenegger’s voice always evoke laughter from me, but he may very well be on some drugs. The first lines of this commentary provide reason enough to give this DVD a chance. There’s even a drinking game to enjoy throughout. I actually bought it solely for the director and actor audio track. If buying it isn’t part of your idea of a good time, simply watch this collection of mome
“Aaron Johnson… mark my words, is going to be a huge movie star… He has that charisma where you believe every word he says. He can also stand in front of the camera and say nothing, but you still want to watch him. He’s fun. The actor I think he’ll become is Robert Downey, Jr. He’s very similar to h
In the interview with AICN , Vaughn spoke about various aspects of the movie including the look/style, the cast and even a possible sequel (with this type of movie that kind of talk is inevitable). Take a look at some of what Vaughn said about Kick-Ass :Here’s what Vaughn had to say about his first attempts to shop Kick-Ass around at various studios, and the numerous turn-downs he
When asked about whether Hancock 2 would be his next film AFTER Battleship , Berg said he wants to do Lone Survivor , which tells the tale of, “17 seals that were killed in one gunfight in Afghanistan. One survived.” But what about after that? Well, Berg didn’t say, but hasn’t ruled out a sequel to his action-adventure, The Rundown . He’s not sure why there hasn’t already been plans put in place to do The Rundown 2 , https://superheromoviespot.com/ but said he’d definitely be up for doing anot
